You guys already know that latest bitpim support LG chocolate VX8500. But be careful after you manually set the phone to VX8500 because at first it will give you an error while you are trying to sync the phone. The trick is you need to connect the phone after bitpim started. And make sure if you are using proper USB cable.
By the way, many people complained since there was no speaker phone on VX8500. As a matter of fact, LG did firmware upgrade. All new chocolate has speaker phone and old chocolate can activate speaker phone by simply upgrading firmware. Just take it to the verizon wireless store.
